Chapter 1441: Intermission 7: Each Of Their Love Lives (6)
Leon’s POV
"Relationship advice?" I repeated, my eyebrows lifting before I even realized I was reacting like that.
Honestly, hearing those words come out of Raymond’s mouth felt weird enough on its own that my brain needed a second to process it properly.
I was standing there in a bathrobe while staring at the two of them outside my dorm room door. Raymond and Duncan both looked strangely tense, their fists clenched awkwardly while staring at me expectantly like they were waiting for approval from a strict teacher or something.
Or maybe like a couple of dogs waiting for treats.
Honestly, the image almost made me laugh.
The timing was terrible too.
I had literally just gotten into my room at the new dormitory and was planning to finally relax for the night. More specifically, I was about to have sex with Isiliraiellyn and Yr before the two of them suddenly started knocking on my door like they were the police investigating a crime scene.
Naturally, there was no way I could just ignore the knocking and continue with them outside. That would’ve been insane.
Well... maybe not impossible, but still.
So I ended up opening the door.
And honestly, seeing them standing there surprised me more than I expected.
Ever since I revealed my power, things between us had been weird. Not openly hostile or anything, but distant enough that I got the feeling they didn’t really want much to do with me anymore. Conversations became shorter, interactions became awkward, and eventually we just stopped talking altogether.
Thinking about it now, this was probably the first real conversation we’d had in a long while.
So seeing them come all the way here just to ask me for help honestly caught me off guard.
"Yes," Raymond said after clearing his throat a little. "If you would permit it, I’d like to ask for your advice regarding that matter."
"I know we probably don’t have the right to ask you for help after everything," Duncan added awkwardly, "but... um... we seriously need it."
Well, they had to be genuinely desperate if they were coming to me for advice.
And romance advice at that.
I almost wanted to ask whether the world was ending.
"Well, I was actually about to do something," I told them. "Can we meet somewhere else first?"
"Yeah, I guess we could," Raymond replied.
Honestly, the two of them looked impatient enough that I got the feeling they wanted to talk about this immediately. Like if they didn’t ask now, they’d lose the courage to do it later.
After saying that, the two of them stepped away from my doorway and headed back outside while I stayed standing there for a moment.
Then I sighed quietly to myself.
Seeing them come back to me like this honestly felt strange.
Even after everything that happened between us, they still decided to swallow their pride and approach me for help anyway. Whatever issue they had with me before, it looked like they’d already worked through enough of it to at least stand here and talk normally again.
That alone was honestly kind of surprising.
A small smile ended up appearing on my face before I even noticed it.
I didn’t really consider them close friends anymore.
But at the same time... I guess I still considered them something.
That realization felt oddly funny.
At the very least, I suppose it proved I wasn’t some completely emotionless bastard who only cared about the women in his harem. As ridiculous as my life had become lately, it wasn’t like I suddenly stopped caring about everyone else around me.
Well... maybe I cared a little less than before.
Still, the point stood.
After thinking about that for a bit, I closed the door to my dormitory room.
And then I had a threesome with Isiliraiellyn and Yr.
Honestly, I wasn’t going to cancel that just because two emotionally confused idiots suddenly decided they needed romantic guidance.
After fucking them for a while, I finally headed over to where Raymond and Duncan were waiting for me.
Surprisingly enough, the two of them were still there.
Even stranger was the fact that they didn’t seem to be talking to each other at all while waiting. They were just standing around awkwardly in silence like two people waiting outside the principal’s office after getting caught doing something stupid.
Did they seriously stay here the whole time waiting for me?
"Oh, you’re finally here," Raymond said the moment he saw me approaching.
"Did I make you guys wait too long?" I asked.
"No, we didn’t really mind waiting," Raymond replied. "We’re the ones imposing on you, after all. It’s only natural for us to wait. Though... you did take long enough that we started wondering if you were actually going to come back."
Well, that was fair enough.
In hindsight, disappearing for that long after saying "wait here" probably looked suspicious as hell.
Then again, if they thought too hard about what I was doing during that time, that was their problem, not mine.
"I’m here now," I said while shrugging lightly. "So what exactly is this about? What do you mean you need romantic advice? Don’t tell me you both ended up falling for the same person again."
Honestly, if that happened twice, I was going to start believing they were cursed.
"No," Raymond answered immediately before pausing. "Actually... wait. I never asked Duncan who he likes, so technically it could still be the same person. Duncan, is the girl you’re interested in the one working at the cafeteria we always eat at?"
Duncan slowly shook his head.
Well, thank goodness for that.
Honestly, it would’ve been unbelievably ironic if those two somehow managed to repeat the exact same situation all over again after everything that already happened before.
At that point I’d just assume fate hated them personally.
"Alright then," I said. "What exactly do you want to learn?"
"Everything," Raymond answered immediately.
That response came out so fast that it almost sounded rehearsed.
"I know I said some things to you before," he continued, "and I’m not going to make excuses for that. Honestly, I still think some of what I said back then was valid, so I’m not going to apologize for it either."
Well, at least he was honest.
That was probably better than forcing out some fake apology he didn’t actually mean.
"But even then," Raymond continued, "I don’t think it’s healthy for us to keep avoiding each other forever when we’ve been friends since our first year."
I stayed quiet for a moment after hearing that.
Honestly, I understood what he meant.
Yeah, there was still some bad blood between us. Pretending otherwise would’ve been stupid. But at the same time, continuing to act awkward around each other forever probably wasn’t healthy either.
And judging from the fact that the two of them were standing here asking me for help despite how uncomfortable this probably was for them, it seemed like they’d already thought that through themselves.
I guess they finally sorted things out on their end.
